Default New Road ?

today a stone was symbolically laid as the first stone in a new highway running directly along the coast from huelva to cadiz , 200 industrialists are apparently pushing for the project (for which they claim they have 48 million euros towards) to get permission , they claim is a possibility within next ten years, obviously would cut time between the two areas but also ease the congestion around Seville .

Is that for real? I didn't think they would be allowed because it would cut through the Doñana. Are there any newspaper articles relating to this that you know of?

For us the biggest displeasure of living here in Spain is their regard for the environment. We know that there are problems with all countries but for us Spain just does not recognise what it has got. The consequence of that it that they don’t do much to protect the countryside etc.
Here in Galicia we have recently learnt of a few plans to construct either new roads or other things which they want to attract tourist but we know will damage the surroundings.
We have learnt about some EU legislation that was written to protect the countryside. However the Spanish, we feel, think they are above the EU law and choose to ignore it.
Here is a web link to the above.

EU Noise law

We wonder where the folks, who take things back to Europe, get the money and time to go there. We have the strength but not the other two.
