Please don't confuse the issue further - it's confusing enough as it stands!
EUC nothing to do with IBI and GIASHA surcharge, unless someone knows differently...

What surcharge I just thought the contract had been renegociated and Giasha hed won the new contract and was replacing the bins with their own version to suit their trucks.

Check your bimonthly facturas. We are charged 18.-euros for "Recogida basura municipal" plus the rest. We pay also for "Basura" on the IBI.

Plots don't get charged Basua so haven't seen that yet. Whats a Bimonthly factura?

GIAHSA (correct spelling this time
) sends us a bill (factura) every 2 months and charges us for Water supply (Abastecimiento); sewerage (Alcantarillado); treatment (Depuración/Vertidos); and the rubbish collection (Recogida Basura Municipal). There is also a "Canon Inversiones" (some kind of levy no doubt?) for which we paid before the "Depuradora".

On the IBI we do not pay for the rubbish (basura) collection but a fee for the treatment and purification of the garbage (tasa tratamiento y depuracion de la basura). How much we pay depends on our catastral value.
