new here ,got a question

Hello there,

Just joined today. other half is on here too. We thinking about moving to Spain in the near future.

I`m a big girl and was wondering if it is easy to get6 Plus sizes in Spain? Silly question I know, but had to ask.

take care
Nicky

Well, Jan says that there is a problem, and a lot of the Spanish clothing doesn't suit her. Her strategy is to shop via catalogues in the UK, get the clothes delivered to the kids, and come back now and then to collect them.

Then there's always Gibraltar......

On the costas there may well be better access tho.

If you are larger than a size 12 you are not going to find anything that fits thats for sure! I think they only cater for skinny minnies here! :frown:

Re: new here ,got a question

That's more or less what Jan says, except she uses the term 'Skinny cow' instead.

Well i skimmed through but because we both have separate PCs i never thought that it was anything to worry about. We are on the same network using NAT which looks the same from the outside :-/

Sowee!

You will find the larger C&A stores do larger sizes and also El Corté Ingles to an extent but not a lot of choice. There are some very large Spanish ladies.

Yeah, but if I've understood Jan correctly, the clothes are either too young and too small or else more than a bit frumpy.

I'm a big girl, it is very difficult to get larger sizes here and even harder if you happen to be taller than 5ft. It has got easier since C&A have come into this part of Spain, within an hours drive I can reach at least 4 of them, a couple of them even cater for the taller larger lady which is great.

In Gib you will find Evans they are good and LittleWoods also go up to size 20in somethings, M&S, well what can I say they go up to 20/22 in very limited range but you have to be over 80 to qualify to wear them:thumbdown:. El Corte Ingles do have larger size but they also come with a much larger price tag, way over what I would consider paying, 199.00 euros  for a pair of trousers I don't think so some how.

Bras don't get me started on them:curse:, 36J is a size that I think the Spanish have never heard of, I buy all my underwear and swimming stuff via the internet it's the only way.
