How odd with rumours circulating that :-

1. That LG & C are about to loose the contract for the Management of the EUC (the Mayor is the C bit of LG&C) and,

2. That the Mayor is going to "wind up" the EUC in 2011 which is of course the year in which he comes up for re-election,
we suddenly get a website:o:o

In the old days they called this kind of thing "buying votes" in the rotten boroughs.

You couldn't make it up!!!!!

Missed that one just got an email from Eva at LG&C so I thought it was new. Just goes to show they are every bit as bad as we thought they were what have they been doing for 9 months. Although Eva has always been responsive and rapid with all my queries and problems.

Here in MK it was -6 last night and predicted -10 tonight very little snow so far but the boiler is bust and no one comes to fix it until Monday lots of cuddles this weekend. :wub:

Not quite better it is spent on Neil than "entertainment" expenses for the board. Remember the €12,000 in last years budget for the Board.

-12 here, freezing cold and all hands to the deck tomorrow as our son and family move house BUT I suddenly feel warmer...BECAUSE MY BLOOD IS BOILING !!! €12K for entertainment, new CE offices etc etc is it just ridiculous - I am SO angry, we feel fools for paying but not the type to dip out but many have and we subsidise them, the EUC and L & G who do nowt !

Thats why I changed my strapline to "no taxation......", almost all the owners who could attend in late January were apalled by the suggested inclusions of expenses, offices and computors and of course averyone voted their tiny share against these items. We are not sure but we think Fadesa swung their 25% vote behind the President (Mr Mayor) and the Secretary (PMP) so thay were passed. However I have not seen any minutes so I don't know for sure!

However there is still time Register on the Padron sign on the voters list and make a difference - go for let the revolution start here.

I agree wholeheartedly but we must not tar the gardners with their brush. They have done a fantstic job this year in all weathers hot and wet. Over the winter they have started to shape up the street trees and borders.
