My Son is on his way riding for Charity. Will soon be in Spain

Leaving Trafalger square as I type, , briefly riding his bike around europe over 6000kms for charity, but he is coming down through Spain in about six weeks, so basically if you see him in Eastern Spain he will be wearing tops for endometriosis charity, do give him a wave, buy him a beer but please cheer him on.

If anyone interested when he gets closer to Spain I will post his route:thumbsup:

Impressive!
If they want publicity/sponsorship in the Costa Blanca area then I'm sure the following would be interested (if they haven't already been informed):
Newspaper: Costa Blanca News
Freebies: The Leader, Coastrider, Round Town News, Euro Weekly
Radio: Sunshine FM, Bay Radio, Nova, Excite Radio, Spectrum FM, TKO
TV: Televisión Torrevieja, Canal Nou, TV Veja Baja, Televisión Elx
Good luck.

Re: Son is on his way

posted by our DIL tonight. poor Chris, I am hoping was because it is Sunday and hopefully can get something in the morning, see below her text-

Chris had a hard day today. Not sure how many km in the end but reached his destination (Saint Malo - La Ferte-Mace), camp site closed, all hotels closed and no shops/pubs/restaurants open to get any food. So he is in the closed camp site hungry and probably cold and more than likely feeling really low, plus phone battery very low. All in all, a pretty S**T day for the both of us!

I would have thought that it would be alright because you are not trying to sell something. A mod will delete it if it is not allowed.

save it Rosemary then if deleted you can follow him, only couple of weeks and hopefully should arrive, his wife is driving down via Múnich lol (she has family there) she is going to support him for a few days, but better for him, she will take the panniers so the bike will be somewhat lighter, stay with him for few days then get on to us.

Re: Son is on his way

It's fine , as far as I am concerned anyway.
It's for charity and it's hardly as if you are a new member seeking just to use BE to advertise this is it. BEers are wonderful at supporting and contributing to other BEers charity work.

I see the donation page is HERE - A 4000 mile charity cycle ride for Endometriosis.

This is a horrible and very painful condition which affects one's everyday life You have to plan around it. It also affects the ability to have children. . I can personally vouch for that.
In my time I was told to toughen up or to eat more fibre. :scaredhair: I once lost a job because of it. The employer thought I was swinging the lead. I kid you not.
