My first visit to the dentist!

Ive got my first visit to the dentist since moving here later today. I am not afraid to admit that I am scared sh#tless :( It was bad enough going to the English dentist back in the UK, but I am not even seeing a Spanish dentist today...we are going to a Portuguse one!!

So what I want to know is, when I grab his you know whats and say "now we are not going to hurt each other are we". How the hell do I say it in Portuguese?

In England the sound of the dentist's drill is scary but here in Spain it isn't - it's mañana. Like it can't really be bothered  My experience with a Spanish dentist wasn't a bit scary - and cheaper than in England too :)

I hate the dentists!! When he has that pointed thing that he scrapes are the crap from between my teeth I cringe and it hurts!!! Then he put (with his finger) masses of white stuff all over my teeth and gums then got this hard scrubbing thing and polished them!! It was awful and it hurt!! :(

Sensodyne, floss and mouthwash.
Seems to do the trick so that when I go it doesn't seem to be a big job.

Got to go myself at some time, MnM recommended someone to me

They were never that vicious in the UK.

At least I didnt need any fillings.....I bet they dont even give you an injection to numb your mouth for a filling here

Oh well, it was worth it I suppose. I am going to have to stop smoking and drinking coffee, then it shouldnt be so bad (not that I will).

Better than that - they rub something on your gum so you don't feel a thing :)
