you lucky devil, I've been after her for years
:sneaky:

I was diagnosed with gouty rheumatism about 20 years ago, in the right ankle.
Since coming out to Spain I initially felt much better than I have for some time, but for the past year have had a number of problems, mostly centering around the right leg and the knee which I severely twisted twice in a year before coming out here. (NHS acknowledgement of the problem was virtually non-existent).
The past few weeks have been torture with leg problems and throbbing pain in most of the right foot, all probably causing me back pain because I couldn't walk properly.

And yet not long after signing up with a local doctor he told me not to take the Allopurinol I have been taking religiously for 20 years..

But the past couple of days it has all cleared up, the back aches a little but probably from all the abuse it has had from the leg.

All we can do is keep on soldiering on, living our lives the best we can and not let it get in the way.
But probably like me you are better at forecasting wet weather than El Tiempo

LOL this is so true, I broke the bone (calcáneo) in my heel 4 years ago and now it always lets me know when the dry weather is coming to an end :)

Wouldn't a weather glass have been less painfull? ;)

Just been for my blood tests, feeling a hell of a lot better and still without pain.

LOL yes a Weather glass would have been a better solution.

I was very lucky though, it broke into clean pieces which eventually healed themselves without the need for any surgery. I was told it's one of the worst bones you can break and normally requires metal pins etc.

Well I'm still off the oral medication with no repercussions and have no pain whatsoever, I thought that I'd leave it a while, but you just want to tell someone when your dreams come true. This is the first time in circa 10 years that I've not been popping prescription pills, and feel far better for it. It's taken me that long to get the steroid injections, but my brother in law got on them very quickly due to the wife's sister being a medic, apparently they cost circa £12K p/a.
