I am getting 2mb but my neighbours who come off the same line get 8mb. Tried to speak to someone on 1004 but was left hanging on the line for ages and never got anywhere. Is there a online form you can complete if you have a problem?

I know nothing but moving back to the UK very soon. BT gave me download speeds but which depend upon how far you are from the exchange your cabling and the like.

Here I do not think Movistar provide an on-line facility. May be wrong

Could it be the router, some are capped at 2gb ?

We all come off of the same pole and the same cabling.

its just a unsual speed, why dont you try your friends router on your line and see if it is the same, it should only be the user name and password that is different to change and swap back after

There could be a setting on the router firmware that could say the max speed.

what is the model of it ?

How long have you had it, I cant get no information up about that router, if it is some of the old early routers only did max of 2gb anyway.

if not login to the setup and see what the max data rate is if it is there

most routers are 192.168.1.1

just copy that into your browser bar and click enter

Try one of these, not sure if it'll work on your router. if it does you'll need your log in/password details.

Yep right number but no idea what the username and password are. So long ago.

usually unless you change it then it would be on the bottom of the router (but maybe not a old one) or admin / admin (in UK)
