Default Moving to Valencia this week, advise sought

Hi guys. I've got a job where I can work remotely from home, so I packed up my old campervan and headed to Spain. I've driven from the UK to Bilbao, Seville, Cadiz , Granada and yesterday Alicante. I really liked Alicante but have driven on towards Valencia. I now need some advice on where to live in or around Valencia. To give you some background, I'm a 34 year old male, single and; well, just looking or a home. I lived in central America for a couple of years, so my Spanish is okay, but I want to be advanced / fluent within the next year or so. I'd like to find a 2 or 3 bed house / apartment, but I'm not so keen on living in the city centre. I'd like to find a place that has good public transport into the city, as I intend to work hard during the week, and socialise at the weekends. I'm looking to pay between 600 and 700 euros per month. Any help would be most welcome. Many thanks Phil

Valencia has a good metro and regional train service. I would look at the routes and research/visit the areas towns that I was attracted to and then decide.
eg Gandia (the town not the beach)if not too far for you from Valencia may be worth considering.

I would agree.
Valencia has an excellent Metro service that is above ground outside of the city and covers many interesting places inland.
Torrent is a tidy good sized town close to Valencia with pleasant tree lined ramblas and a good Metro service.
There are plenty more rural pueblos on or close to Metro routes further out too numerous to mention where I believe the rental and purchase prices will be much more reasonable.
