Moving with Telefonica

I told them about a month ago that we were moving - they checked and said it would be an easy transfer - we are only moving about 200 metres. They said a man would call and it would be done within 20 days.

A man called two weeks ago at about 4pm and said he would be round that evening - he didn't come. We know that because our new place is a bar and we were open and in all evening. He also didn't call back. Mrs. Jimenata has a theory that he got pissed, forgot to do the job but thinks he has.

Anyway I called the following Monday - they said it would be done within 9 days.:frown:

I called today - they said again that it would be done within 9 days:banghead:

We move out today and someone else is moving in. I hope they're not from South America or somewhere and make loads of international calls on my line.

The upshot of all this is that I may be gone for some time.

Hasta mucho luego...

It appears to me that you know all about dongles, GRPS, and giant satellite dishes to know that none of them will work on your Andalucian hillside.

It leaves Telefonica, and I’ve been in your position. I managed to resolve it by speaking to the local ‘liaison’ man, usually the mayor or his deputy. who will know where the local telefonica engineer lives and speak to him, both from a position of authority and with what really counts, a few bob. It never fails.
