Hi, I have been offered a job in seville that is likely to run for 2-5 years starting in February 2013 and was looking for some advice as I have never been there before!
Basically I am looking for some information on property rental web sites (either for room rentals or property) that I could look at before moving, is it best to live in the city or outside? (Bearing in mind I'm a 27yr old, would quite like to be amongst the hustle!)
language schools as I intend to learn Spanish when I get there.
Gyms that people may have visited or been a member of?
And in general what is Seville like in terms of a place, nightlife etc?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks in advance
Rich.

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.
BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.
Please let me know if you need any further help.

Lucky you! Definitely live in the city, rents are quite reasonable and you will find somewhere to suit your pocket. The public transport system is very good so its easy to get around, there's even a card-operated bike rental scheme!
Seville has two premier league football sides so you'll need to decide whether to support Betis or Sevilla. I'm afraid it is not possible to sit on the fence! It is a religion here. Betis are doing well this season, 6th in the league and they beat Real Madrid recently.

Thanks for the responses guys! Is there a website used in Spain/seville similar to what we have in the uk? (room share etc) or can anyone recommend estate agents to rent through in seville? (websites)
Thanks again.
Definitely would be Betis for me already follow Spanish football from the Uk!

I only know Sevilla as a tourist but we visit most years as we like it so much. Make sure you get a place with both air conditioning for the summer and heating for the winter - it is notoriously hot (40C plus) for most of the summer and cold in winter.
