moving from Puerto Rico to Spain
Hi my name its Kris and i have be having this crazy idea for years of going to Europe and just travel and I have been thinking of my first place to visit will be Spain, but I don't know what visa should i apply too or even if you have to qualify for it. What I want to know is it hard to find a job just for necessary expenses (place to stay,utilities,food,etc...) and not to state the obvious but i write and speak English and Spanish. Please i know to some of you may think that my goal its very "sugar coated", ignorant, childish,etc..., but if you don't got something useful to say i will appreciated if you kept your comments reserved. Anyway i will give thanks in advance, any extra info. will be appreciated

Re: moving from Puerto Rico to Spain
As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.
BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.
I do not want to be a kill joy and try to put you off following through with your dream but feel that I must warn you that the job situation in Spain at the present time is dire. Unemployment is very high, Spanish people are really struggling to find work and are facing all sorts of difficulties due to lack of finances. Sorry to be so negative but I hear of more and more people losing their jobs every day and did not want to give you false hopes. Delaying your trip until the crisis here abates might well be your best plan.
Please let me know if you need any further help.
Rosemary
