Re: Moviestar
you ring your own number then press * when the answerphone message starts. Then you need an access code which I presume you have to set up from the phone itself.
Apparently. ETA try 0000 as the default. |

That would depend if you had that service on your line. Buzon de voz is not automatically set up and it may have been cancelled before.

You must have the feature installed - we asked to have 'caller identification' set up and now we always know who's called (even if we are out).

If you changed to your own phone these services no longer worked but you would still get charged, well unless you phone up to cancel it. 6 months after cancelling mine I was still getting charged, eventually they stopped it and gave me a refund for the 6 months:eek: |

It used to be that if you had a Dorma phone then you automaticaly got answerphone,call divert,3 way call etc etc but were charged about 5€ a month on top of line rental.

It works fine with non-Movistar equipment. We use Panasonic wireless phones and can retrieve all messages easily. Messages are stored on the server with Movistar and not on your phone. Consequently you can always retrieve them wherever you are in the world no matter what the equipment. To go back to the OP's original question - there are two services which can give you this;

Re: Moviestar
If you have ADSL with Movistar then both Answerphone and Caller ID come as part of the package and are not charged.

Like you, we thought it was free but after enquiring, we've been told we have to pay. |
Re: Moviestar
We had adsl with them and both mentioned services were not included free. They both would have had to be requested and charged for.

Nope - they charge us for Caller ID - 50 cents per month and yes, we do have ADSL
