Motorsport in Spain
Ok, another question I currently compete in some club racing (caterham style cars) in the UK and would be looking to get into a similar kind of series in Spain. What circuits, clubs etc. in the Costas are there?

Re: Motorsport in Spain
I used to have a thrash around Rockingham and Silverstone in the UK but the only one near us is Valencia. Someone told me you can get on there fora modest fee but I haven't tried yet.
I believe there are a few car clubs dotted around as well

Catalunya is a bit more of an epi-centre for Spanish motor sports, that said there are a couple of world class motor circuits in Jerez, try clicking here and e-mailing them to ask if they do track days.

In the costas you have Valencia, Catalunya, Jerez (close enough to the costa), Almeria .. Inland you also have Albacete and Madrid (Jarama).. Motor racing is very popular in Spain..

what, all the way round? Never...we thought you was an honest person who never told lies!!!
Not many circuits here in Spain, but what is popular in this part of the world is Subida, but for us maybe hill climbing on public roads.
Here is a video of one near to us.
They just shut the main public highway for two days. All classes of cars are used.
BTW crap music on the video, as it is not ours no apologies here.

Here is the link for the subida near Chantada.
http://www.escuderiachantada.org/
It still gives 2007 dates, but it will be updated before next year.
We do not know of any circuits in Galicia, or even any part of Northern Spain.

I don't know of any race circuits in the northwest either but I wonder if there are any private ones that we haven't heard of ..
