Default Motorhomes- belted seats.

Does anyone know what the law is regarding belted rear seats?
Some have them and others don't. Cars are required to have rear seat belts by law and I assume that a passenger in any vehicle is required to do so.
I have seen ads that state they have "travelling seats" yet don't appear to have belts, any advice please.

When I was a hospital porter in my feckless youth, I got to see close up, the face of someone who had gone thru the windshield thru not wearing a belt.

I would never travel in a vehicle without a belt on.

Screw the law, it just isn't safe.

Would not travel in a vehicle that did not have sufficient belts for the number of passengers.

I wanted to know the Law re: MOT/ITV's and if it is legal to sell a vehicle without them if it is advertised as having "travelling seats".
Thanks for the Tufty lesson

No problem. Had you said that you were selling, my response would have been different, but you didn't.

Assuming your talking about a Spanish vehicle ,some older vehicles dont have to have rear seat belts as they were not manufactured with them , in your case your ficha technica will tell you how many seats the vehicle has /permitted passengers , also it will not pass the ITV if they decide they are required, could be very expensive ,if youve only just got the vehicle go and ask the ITV office well before your next test is due.

Looking at LHD Spanish and UK, Spanish cos less hassle matriculating, UK loads less bucks.
One thing that I did think was that if a vehicle is registered in a country where it was not compulsory to have them fitted, would you then be unable to drive through a country where it was? bit of a bugger with a Motor home.
I realise it is safer (and just easier) to get one with them fitted but they tend to be newer models and as such more money, I just like to know where I stand legally, could be a negotiation on price, especially if the vehicle is just not designed to have anchor points fitted.
