Default Motorhome parking Gib / La Linea. info

I will be coming back from Morocco in my motorhome Feb 2014.
Looking at flying home to UK from Gib for birthdays etc.
Want to leave my van somewhere save for up to a week.

A quick web search says parking at Gib airport but does anyone know if there is somewhere to put a motorhome 8mtr long and 3.2 mtr high... or am I best looking at Spain and walking over the border to get the flight.

Any advise welcomed...

Well done Gib , if only everywhere else would follow that example.
Unregulated camping by motorhomes is the scourge of southern Europe if not anywhere.

With parking on Gibraltar being a nightmare ( to an outsider at least) I would have been surprised if they let cars and caravans or camper vans take up valuable space.

Thanks for the welcome !!
I can appreciate that some people look upon motorhomes and campers as some sort of "scroungers" especially when you see them all "wildcamping" near the border... BUT dont judge everyone the same..

We own property in Spain and also like to tour Europe. It's a civil question....
I have not asked about overnight sleeping or camping..
Some airports have facilities for large vehicles and some dont...

If I said i wanted to come and park my range rover would that be better for the camper haters ?.?.. (wink)

Just to go off topic slightly.. It's only unregulated because the local authorities cant be bothered to capitalise on an opportunity... In France many local communities provide parking areas, some with facilities, some free but many with a small charge...
A lot of people I meet in motorhomes are like me ex-business people and we cant understand why some areas do not set up something official and charge a fee. After spending a good deal of cash £100k plus on some vans we are not worried about paying our way and we do bring money into local areas.. There are something like 30,000 + vans that go to Morocco for winter, even there a little man in a hi vis vest will let us park but takes €3-5 euro..

The reason behind the Gib no parking is historical because of the lack of accommodation for residents.
The place would have been inundated and that would probably still happen now.

I can appreciate that, I would not even attempt to come in a car, unless I had to...
