Try Lineadirecta.com

They have all documents in English and a dedicated English speaking help line.

From many reports on the Internet they are particularly good at handling claims. They may well be prepared to accept a UK NCB - just ask on 902325325

My recommendation would be http://www.ibexinsure.com/motor-insurance.htm

I have used them for many years, for motor, house and travel insurance

Had a car stolen and trashed a few years ago. Linea Directa were brilliant and the money was in my account after 11 days, couldn't believe it myself.

Go for Linea Direct I have been with them for years and they are the cheapest I have found. I get fully comprehensive for the price others only quote third party. Thought I had the car stolen in Valencia airport a couple of years back.
Phoned them up and they said no bother get a cab to a hotel and put the claim in. As it happened I found the car anyway so didnt need it.Quite a relief in worrying times

I would also recommend Linea Directa. They do recognise UK NCD but only if you can provide evidence.

You may not be aware most Spanish insurance includes compulsory breakdown insurance. Great to have a friendly voice if and when you need to call for help.

When it come to motor insurance the only criteria worth considering are the way they handle a claim, not how much the premium is.

Linea Directa seem to have an unblemished record with regard to claims handling, certainly that is the case from my experience.

As a retired insurance broker, I can only ask how you would access independent claims against premium statistics in Spain, I couldn't manage that in the UK.

I have no idea but what I do know is that this subject has come up loads of times on various forums and no one has ever had anything but praise for the way LD have handled their claims.

Personally I have had three claims and they were all handled in a way far in excess of my expectations.

They are using the 'Direct Line' logo, however I can find no connection, me thinks that they have a silent partner.

They used to be connected and were owned equally by RBS and Bankinter but in 2009 they became wholly owned by Bankinter.

I assume that part of the deal was to retain the logo etc.

currently have 2 cars and house insured with LD.
the call centre has good English speakers - the one I spoke to today about my car renewal comes from South America.

I will be going thru the rigmarole of testing the waters with other companies, but as others are saying - they take a lot of beating.

Yes that sounds about right.

When inputting information for an on-line quote, might I suggest the following?

a) Go for a £100 excess.

b) Look for free breakdown recovery.

c) Look for free legal expenses cover.

Every little helps.
