MOT Test Certificates??????
 

I was just casually browsing the Costa Blanca News online for cars and what do I stumble on? An advert for MOT test certificates with a UK mobile number for contact and reminding everyone that their insurance is void without one :blink::blink:

I didn't want to copy the advert here, nor do I condone anyone trying to MOT their vehicle whilst in Spain. Just to point out how easily and blatantly it is done.....and allowed to be advertised!

I have seen ads like that before, and digital speedo adjustments.

You would think that they wouldn't be allowed to put in an advert like that.......wouldn't you?

Seen that same item, have though of contacting them, then reporting them to the MOT authorities in the UK, saying that they are being offered.

I seem to remember being told that its not actually possible to do that now .... they must be the old MOT certificates

Yes .... I mean that they have a supply of old certificates that they feel are good enough to fool the Spanish Police

The new ones are bar coded, and there is a very very tight control on them. I remember my mechanic saying before I left the Uk that the new form would eradicate illegal use, although I guess theres always a way around everything
