Of course it's London, the city is fantastic and I would not live anywhere else. I do appreciate I am biased being a born and bred Cockney.
What I thought was interesting that it is also expected to be the top city in 10 years time. That surprises me as the balance of power moves east. |

It is a great city that works. And it has all the cr*ppy places where the rich like to eat and be seen. Its also a very livable city, as long as you are young or a millionnaire If you are someone who needs to work for a living and would like to see their family during the week, then there are 1000s of better places, especially given the poor quality of state schools and very high public school fees |

Obviously the reason why so many Spanish have chosen to move there for work recently then.
Dont think they are worried too much about family life yet. You'll find almost all of them are young (in Spanish terms) and single |
Re: The most impressive City in the world
I enjoy London for a weekend visit, theatre and a late supper sort of thing but couldn't live there these days, its all a bit tacky and grubby there now.

Re: The most impressive City in the world
It all depends what you are looking for, London, New York ...... all way too big for me.

Re: The most impressive City in the world
I loved living in London when I was young and ambitious but I wouldn't want to live there now. Thing is the super rich who own homes there only spend a few days per week there, they are off to their country estates by Thursday:)
There are lots of Spaniards, hear more Spanish spoken than I did on the CDS:lol: I love N. York and Miami too. |

Re: The most impressive City in the world
I'm lucky enough to have done a lot of travelling over the years ....... and I have to say that the city I probably disliked the most was London. I love the architecture and the history, but not the attitude I pick up from the people there
The City I liked being in most (maybe not the most impressive) was San Francisco |
