Moped Insurance

Hi all,

How much roughly would comprehensive insurance cost for a c.2012 year 100cc moped garaged with about 15k on the clock for the 40 to 50 age group and living on the CDS?

If anyone has a moped and can give some pros and cons over a small car that would be great.

Cheers.

I believe you may find it difficult to get comprehensive insurance

Comprehensibve insurance (seguro a todo riesgo) is actually very simple to get so I don't understand the comment.

We pay around 300€ but this includes a 17 year old as a named driver (so it could be less).

Yes you can get comprehensive insurance but don't expect it to be comparable price to the UK. I insured a 150 3rd party with breakdown and medical cover cost 160 euro. In UK I have 2 big bikes fully comp breakdown and European cover £160.

I insured my 125cc scooter with ibex. Fully comp, I was given the option to pay in EUR or GBP. I paid on my uk debit card cost me £97 for the year which was about 135€ at the time.
