the Moors are attacking the beach in Javea Port (about 200m from me) as I type

not going to watch this year................we know the Christians will win in the end

we will go to watch the Christians re-take the beach on Sunday before the parade.............which this year is expected to finish at about midnight - and if the fireworks are as good as usual, they're worth hanging around for

tomorrow & sunday we have hot choccy & cakes for brekkie, and paella for lunch on sunday - all free in the port - well there has to be some compensation for being kept awake by fireworks half the night & then woken up at 8 am by yet more fireworks!

Love the fireworks, cannot get enough for us especially the early morning ones as they walk around the streets.

we love them too, although one of the cats has only come out from under the bed for essentials for a week now

I just find it really hard to get up for work early when there has been partying all night - though I was grateful for the fireworks at eight o'clock the other morning cos I had slept through the alarm & would still have been in bed when my 8.30am student arrived

I like the wake up ones because they always start at the other side of our village so it is quite a gentle arousal so when they get to us we are sat having a cup of tea and wide awake.
