If you were on the East side of Gibraltar then the satellite dish enclosed in a Golf Ball like structure on Windy Hill ( Europa Flats ) Gibraltar would be behind you and on a clear day the snowcapped mountains of the Siera Nevada would be visible to your left.
However to see both at the same time limits your position to a very small ( minute ) area, were you in the Military ?

This Golf Ball has now been demolished, but as a point of interest this is also one of the areas that :- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SES_Astra use to control their satellites from. The satellites that broadcast Sky TV

There is also another Golf Ball on the top of the North end of Gibraltar, but I cannot imagine where you would have been to to see this one.
