Default Mobile phone pay monthly/pay as you go sim

I will shortly be moving to the Sevilla area and was wondering if anyone could help me regarding a sim card.

I am not sure which network to go with and weather to get a pay monthly contract or a pay as you go sim card.

I am more interested in the data allowance rather than the minutes/texts. Ideally I would like around 2gb+ of data and 100+ minutes and maybe 500 or so texts.

Are there any networks to avoid due to poor coverage?

I was looking into this and I'm with O2 and they suggest I get a Spanish sim when we arrive, still keep my UK number, get a PAK code from O2, contact Spanish phone provider, give them the code and they will initiate it.

Hope this helps!
