We have been a couple of times and the entrance fee to the castle was 5 Euro, that included a pottery mug which you then used for your drinks. Its a couple of years since we last went but wear comfy shoes as the walk up to the castle and inside is quite rough also beware of Mozzies.

If you are visiting the Castro Marim Castle take a scarf with you. Sometimes the dust blows around in clouds! Sadly I am missing the event this year.

Thanks, been to the castle before so know about the evenness of it and living up a steep hill seldom wear anything but flat comfy shoes now ( I used to wear nice high heels ) Good tip about a scarf thanks. Hopefully you will make next years.
