Default Matinsa Fadesa exits insolvency

I have found the following links:
http://adpnews.info/?nid=e84f413828a8949d

http://www.starproperty.my/PropertyS...News/10744/0/0

Does anyone have any further information?

We were due to complete on a property when the receivers were called in and information has been very hard to come by!

Hurra, Hurra !!!
Martinsa Fadesa starts again his operations.
I hope Hotel and Commercial Centre is coming soon to take a resolution.
Great news for Esurianos.

But they still owe so much money, it will be years, before there is any spare cash, if any at all, for works still needed.

True, but still better this way.

You can buy the comercial center for €19 million, interested?

What shops would we like to see in there one day?

The plan is an 8 year one but it depends on whether they can realise the assets at the valuation they have placed on them.

Presumably if someone bought the commercial centre they would be in a much better position!! Please form an orderly queue

I would like to see it knocked down and something useful in its place. We don't need it as there are so many other places to shop and there are not enough people living on CE to make it viable. Little shops scattered around the Urb. would be better in my opinion.

That is the problem, stores need punters about before they will invest, and people need facilties before they will buy, it`s a sort of chicken and egg situation.

Thats why I asked the Mayoral candidate about the proposal by the existing Mayor to allow a Superstore, pertol station, hotel and shops to be built just over the motorway on the poligono less than 3 km from the CE commercial center and unfinished hotel and also less than 3 km from La Plaza a commercial center in crisis and just down towns lots of vacent new shops and failed shops. He did not think it was a good idea.

Be careful what you wish one or two schemes are being discussed which you may like less than an an underused shopping center.

It has been suggested that there is a group of investors who would want to turn the site into a Casino.

Similar to UK Casino Licences are directed by Central Government and allocated by the communidad. Andalucia has 4 tier one licences to give out one has gone so we might get a pretty big casino where we thought there would be a supermarket, restaraunts, bars and a multi screen. Would that be a good thing?

One thing I would like to say re a multiplex cinema is that at the moment films shown in Spain are dubbed so unless they show them in original format it would be of no use to the Brit. Expats here. We go to the cinema in Tavira Plaza as all films are in English with Portuguese subtitles (except cartoons). I think personally that some indoor/outdoor sports facilities would be good. Bryony

Totally agree, there are many supermarkets in Ayamonte which we should be supporting, it need to be something original there which is not already in Ayamonte so as not to trade away from the town but what ?? Yes, some type of sports/leisure activities is a good idea and I think a casino would be good, the one in Monte Gordo seemd to do well, they have shows on and serve a reasonable meal too although it is years since I have been there.

You remember that the cinema in Ayamonte´s commercial center showed film in their original version? That did not work and by now the cinema closed down completely. They could not even manage in a town with 20.000 inhabitants.

We used to go bowling in marbella. Since the recession the venue has been halved in size so it cannot have been doing well. Problem is that it can be expensive for anyone with a few kids.
