My other half has recently applied for Maternity Pay. If the process always runs in the same way, the website login will just be for you to check on the progress of the claim. You can also do a few other processes there, including applying for a European Health card for your child, etc... But you should also receive a text message when the claim has been accepted or rejected.

You can also log onto the Social Security website with a digital certificate, if your other half has one? I don't know your situation in Spain but that is what is required to submit tax returns and carry out other processes online, so it would be worth getting one if you're going to be in the country for some time.

That is just from personal experience; presuming you submitted all of the right documents I'd imagine you'd receive a response by the end of next week, although it's worth noting that the holidays this week might delay things a little.

Not sure of that, their first post seems awfully authentic Spanish system! Still, never know. Only answer is an interpreter if it is genuine!

It is not...you are mistaking EU processes vs local. Try doing this in Barcelona when you need to do it all in Catalan (even spaniards have issues)

If you are 100% stuck, please PM me - I know a number of Spaniards fluent in English all over Spain that will help for the price a caƱa or cortado
