Default Massive social security fraud in Catalonian city

News article on fraud in LLeida

A complete of 57 people have been arrested in Lleida for social security fraud in the sum of 2.2 million euros.

Five of them are said to be owners of commercial addresses in the area.

They are charged with document forgery and assisting unlawful immigration.

Investigations began when the Treasury-General of the National Institute of Social Security, together with the Work Inspection branch, detected a number of companies which had frequent cases of staff being registered and de-registered with the social security.
Looks like someone's been doing well out of the crisis - until they got caught of course.
