Default Markets in Benalmadena, Feungirola area ?

Hola Buenos dias

Where I live on the Costa Blanca we have really massive outdoor shopping markets selling everything from fruit and veg to clothing and even furniture.

We're coming down to the Malaga region, and staying in Benalmadena, are there any similar markets in the region and when are the open. ?

Thanks for any help folks

Yes Feungirola have an open market (forget what days) and La Cala de Mijas market is on Saturday.

Mind you most sell the same old tat as all the other markets.

Isn't there also a more rastro type one on ?Wednesdays? at Arroyo/Benalmadena?
The one at the Los Boliches end of Fuengirola on the rastro ground or whatever it's called is Saturday mornings.

Thanks folks, but when you say same old tat....are we talking here of little markets...or really big ones?

Also would be good if anyone can give us an exact day and time that there is a big one on, and where.

We're not really familiar with the area... but willing to go anywhere in the Malaga region.

Thanks for your help so far!

Go to Sur in English and click on What to Do, then click on Street Markets.

theres a big one in Fuengirola on Sunday mornings. What seems to happen is that all the small markets/stall holders collect together every now and again. It all the same stuff, but just more of them

Hi,
Fuengirola normal market which is clothes, household, fruit and veg ,spices etc is on Tuesday. It ends about 2:30 so go in the morning.

The Flea market is on a Saturday morning, at the same location (the feria ground), this is the better market as you never know what will be on Sale.

Regards
Al
