Iceland in Jávea will be open on Sunday 10-4 - the Spanish supermarkets don't usually opensundays except in high tourist season

the Carrefours are open this time of year 9am to midnight I think?? but not so close - Benidorm & Elche I think nearest

your best bet would probably be Iceland

you could try asking there - someone more local might know of a local shop which is open - I know we have some 'corner shop' type places open in Jávea - tend to be very pricey though!!

The La Marina Mall at Ondara is actually open on Sundays over the summer - every Sunday in July and up to 21st August. It's closed on Tuesday 26th July for a local holiday. The website isn't very helpful as it doesn't actually give opening hours. Some of the supermarkets, including Lidl, are also open on Sundays over the summer.

Would think the Carrefour in Gandia would be closer than Benidorm or Elche.

And most Consum supermarkets are open on Sundays...maybe until 1 or 2pm only, but all the ones around my area are open on Sundays and Fiestas in July and August and September.

I excpected the shops to be open - but the opening hours on the website said they weren't............

maybe I should have just asked my dd who went there to the cinema last sunday & just told me all the shops were open

I was in Denia recently and noticed that Mercadona didn't open but Consum did (or does through July/Aug/Sept - as previously mentioned) until 2.30pm on Sundays.

There is also a small supermarket near to the Port of Denia Hotel that is open for much longer hours - probably all year long - and sells the essentials.
