Marbella Image Tarnished II
Well, quite right too. The subject was about an article in Essential Marbella written by the Marbella Business Institute criticizing Piers Morgan's TV show about the city and mentioning in particular a couple who thought that '...If you ask the average Spaniard on the street’, says Mrs E, ‘even today, the average Spaniard will say ‘hold on a minute, he fed us…’’. But Mr E is talking, ‘no, not a hero, but… his heart was in the right place’.
As Wikipedia tells us...
'Gil was famous and controversial for his extreme right-wing political views, summed up in a unique brand of foulmouthed, low-brow populism punctuated by sexist, homophobic, racist and xenophobic remarks and, occasionally, by pre-democratic nostalgia'.
My blog notes the damage done to Marbella by the TV show, the newspaper couple interviewed, and a blog written by a local blues musician who more or less raises the same points.

Not sure what your on about but I was under the impression Marbella had a bad reuputation anyway since the 70`s at least?

You will accept that the Marbella Business Institute - and presumably most of Marbella's residents - would prefer to see the city's image improve.
Can't blame them for that.

Although, a forum should be the exchange of information - even when it's in a (non-commercial!) blog. Methinks.
I've lived here for over 40 years and am a writer - sometimes even by profession.
I should also point out, my main blog has (among many other attractions) a series of interesting links about Spain for anyone interested or curious about life in this country. Including, naturally, a selection of useful forums.

I could post it but as Rugby-chappie said "the mistakes in his grammar".
Lenox; Maybe do a blog on this forum too?

Well, I've fiddled about but no luck so far. I think if you click on my name you get a link.

Nope that will not work.
You go to your profile (link at the top of page)
Opens a new page. On the left is a section marked "Edit Signature"
You can mess around with what you want to say there.
When you think you like it, click the preview. then the final version click save.
