Re: Man missing in Nerja

If someone is lost at sea then it would usually be assumed that they were dead. The relatives of the people who died on the Titanic certainly didn't have to wait seven years. The same applies to aircraft lost at sea.

If someone sailed off single handed and the boat and person were never seen again then there would be a 7 year wait.

It obviously depends on the circumstances. In the case of this missing man there is no indication whatsoever what happened. It is perfectly possible, albeit unlikely, that he could still be alive somewhere else.

Yes I agree with the last post - especially as another British walker is currently missing. It is always best to hike with a group some of which (at least) should have good equipment and knowledge of the area.

I have lost two good friends at sea and I know for a fact that their wives and families didn't have to wait anything like seven years for a death certificate to be issued or the deceased estate to be settled.

Are there any suspicious circumstances ?

No suspicious circumstances, he just went out walking as per usual fully equipped and just never came back Wendy and Gordon holidayed in the area regularly and he went on his walks alone taking photos and making notes. There will be another search and the locals have promised Wendy they will keep looking. The Inside Out programme will be on tomorrow night with the 10 min slot with Wendy in Nerja.

You are trivializing a sad and serious post , go and crayon somewhere else.

Please do not be so thoughtless. Think of the feelings of the family before you post this sort of drivel.

Have you recently suffered a serious head injury?

Re: Man missing in Nerja

No I'm in the best of good health thanks :)

Have you recently stopped taking you control freak medication ? ;)

You seem to think that you have some sort of authority to judge the content of other members posts and if you feel that it does not correspond to your standards, you also feel that you have the authority to instruct these fellow members as to what they can and can not post.

Who elected you to be the arbiter of good taste in this matter and who exactly gave you the authority to advise me where I could or could not scribble with my 'crayon' ?

With your enquiries about my health, your delusions of grandeur appear to have reached the dizzy heights of believing yourself to be medically qualified. Either that or it was just another attempt to inflame the situation and add more fuel to the fire you started.

If you feel you have anything further to add to this 'conversation' I'd be obliged if you would take it to P.M.s

In the meantime, here's a therapeutic video for you :)
