Mallorca - Buy a beer, use the pool. Will we get thrown out?
Our apartment (without a pool) is almost complete, and we will be staying in Cala Estancia/Can Pastilla area quite a lot from now on. What do the local hotels think of non-residents buying a few drinks and using the pool. I know it's accepted in many places we've holidayed at, but what about Mallorca? Will we be thrown into the street closely followed by our towels? 
Or are they cool about it. Perhaps it depends on the time of year too. Anyone had any experiences?

Most of the local hotels are "all inclusive" these days. You'll probably need an armband. There's probably a Chinese shop in Can Pastilla that sells them

LOL @ amideislas, you're probably right...
Not sure what you mean Keith, as there is no communal pool in our complex unfortunately, or are you referring to a local council pool.

no experiances but it does seem to be a reasonable accommodation out of season. Something about half a loaf is better than none?

This will only work in a hotel that is Bed and Breakfast or Half Board.
These hotels will be open to non-residents ordinarily as well as residents.
It won't work in an All Inclusive as it is unlikely that the staff at the pool bar will even be set up to handle cash so you won't be able to pay or to receive change and you will stick out like a sore thumb. Just do a few google searches and find out what hotels are BnB or HB in the area you want to use.

Good news, the Apolo hotel is more than happy for us to use their pool as long as it's not too busy with residents.
