Hi I am trying to make some new expat friends in the gandia/oliva,javea/denia area, anyone want to meet up for a chat/coffee ect,or recommend a meeting place/bar/social club(not gandia area social club) getting a bit lonely where i am up here in the mountains ,not sad or lonely yet but hovering sometimes,it seems everyone is just selling up and going back to the uk,ghost town here, just looking for some friends and company, thanks.

the U3A is very active in this area - almost everyone I know seems to be a member of the Jávea branch - I wish I had time - they do so many different trips & activities!!

The next time I am over I will look in on HoneyDukes and check out the conversation evening, not that I can concoct a sentence in Spanish at the best of times, I even have trouble in English .

I will make a note and pm Sir John before I hit Gandia, it's always good to know another person in the locality and perhaps we can meet up and have a yak, I'll pay for the coffee/tea.

Hi all, we are on our way back to the oliva area the first week in April. Thanks for letting us know when quiz night is on. I think that Tuesday 2nd may be a holiday, will that impact quiz night? We look forward to meeting new people.

Hi, does the picture of a Fender Strat mean that you are/were a player ? Snap - but mine's sunburst. U3A Vall de Pop is also popular and has a guitar group which meets on Wednesday afternoons.
