Re: Major Television Transformation
You might even be paying Netflix for 4K and getting 720p.

Re: Major Television Transformation
Good points.
" Year agos" was when someone was thinking of purchasing a 8K. Can't remember if it was a 50, 55 or 60 inch. They were currently using a 50 inch 4k LED so not many years ago. The job last week was for a plasma 50 inch ( so a max of 1080 ) and two 40 inch 4K TVs all that were around 3 to 4 metres from the viewer. I turned all the streaming inputs down to SD in an effort to reduce buffering. The user reports they can't tell the difference on the screen and the buffering has gone and on the main streaming culprit reduced by 80 % + . They are over 70 and I am under 60 Agreed screen size is vital as is viewers distance from the screen but screen type is also just as vital. From experience I found a 6.4 inch phone with an oled screen far superior for viewing than their non oled version. Both technically 1080 p. Would be interested to hear from others thier experiences. This really does depend on a couple or more factors, size of the screen being most significant and also distance that the viewer is sitting from the screen. Whatever your age you can certainly tell the difference between 1080P (HD) and 4K on a large screen (assuming the content is actually 4K), they should be night and day in quality. Smaller screens I would agree the difference is hard to tell. Perhaps 'years ago' the screen sizes available today werent around. :)
