Hi

We are looking at getting a madgemobile for my mum and dad as they will be living with us for a few months of the year when we move to CE.

A friend of mine has a shop in the UK and I asked him to look into a double scooter for them to get around on.

Apparently they are illegal in the UK

My question is, does anyone know if doubles are illegal in Spain?? I believe they have been seen in Benidorm however that isn't Ayamonte so not sure if like other things the law differs with scooters?? or are they illegal in Spain too; full stop.

We have considered getting 2 singles but my mum isn't keen - think she likes my dad chauffeuring her about lol

If anyone has any idea it would be appreciated.

We have often seen an old guy ( Dutch I think) driving a mobility scooter around Monte Gordo with his missus standing on the back like Ben Hur. Perhaps your folks could try this if they can't find a tandem scooter

Yeah I've thought about getting them a little trailer `coach' like you see with parents on bikes where they have their little darlings behind them, a bit like stan n olive in on the buses with their side car!! will sort something for them
