Torrevieja is the biggest town around, and we just use it as our main shopping centre, but not for food as there are so many good supermarkets in the surrounding areas. Plenty of nice places only a few km from torre, such as Playa Flamenca, La Siesta, Los Montesinos, Los Balcones, Los Altos, La Zenia. Wouldn't suggest Punta Prima, but only based on the huge amount of building going on there at the moment, but there are a couple of new commercial centres being built at the moment as well.

Hi Jean,
We are hoping to move within the next twelve months,It would be sooner
but we have one or two things to finish before we can even put the house on the market We will be looking around the Andalucia area, starting at a place called Competa,we will initially rent a house,I think we have established thats the best idea,I believe the market in Spain is a bit up in the air,no point in rushing in to buy,I hope things go very well for you,Im sure you will keep us posted,Iv been on the forum for only a short while, you will if you are like alot of us become addicted

Best Wishes
Jean
