Los Guajares (Guajar Alton, Faraguit, Fondon) climate
Hi folks.
Anyone here live or lived in these three towns inland of Costa Tropical?
The only long-term weather details I can find [wunderground (which some of the helpful folks on the board have alerted me to)] relate to places like Granada town which doesn't actually apply as far as I can tell because this area is supposed to have a warmer "microclimate".
I am trying to find out things like minimum and maximum temps.
And any other info you'd like to share on the places also much appreciated!
Thanks...

Hi stevejohn, thanks but unfortunately not - the Fondon of your link is a different place to Guajar Fondon (my fault for not putting the Guajar in front of each name as I have now done in this post).

There is also the Spanish Met office site and they seem to have automatic weather sites at many small towns. The one for Ayamonte is on the edge of Isla Canela Golf Course.

Had a look at both but neither seem to give history (or I can't find it)?
Seems like no-one on this forum has personal experience of the area - what do you all know that I don't ;-) ?

this gives you an idea, I know someone with a holiday home there, but she is on a different forum, though she doesnt post very often. It is not very far north on the Motril to Granada motorway and , maybe 15 to 20 mins, so much milder than Granada.
It is not very big which maybe why you have had no replies, but it is very pretty and the area is rather stunning.

Thanks pwwm.... that helps a bit... and I'd love to chat to your friend - possibly (if she is open to it) even rent her place for a bit to help me check out the area in person?!? If you are in contact with her perhaps you could ask!
Thanks
Diane

The closest weather station with records is at Lanjaron which is fairly close. Lanjaron is at 650m but Los Gujares are between 250m and 500m so the climate should be slightly better.

That area is close to the Costa Tropical which gives you an indication of the climate.
