Looking for tradies in Mallorca
 

Hi All,

I am new to this forum and am looking for some advice from you based on your own experiences. My family and I are relocating back to Mallorca (Calvia region) in August. We already have a small house there and are looking for some reliable, QUALIFIED tradespeople who will provide quality work on: Upgrading, installing internal doors and frames, install skirting boards, internal fitted wardrobes (sliding doors), full Kitchen and Bathroom renovation, techos falsos, new lighting and additional power points, Floor tiling, Ducted Air con - the list is endless as it is a complete renovation job. We are looking at commencing work in early September. If you are a reliable trades person or know of one I would appreciate their contact details so we can find a trustworthy team who will provide realistic and competitive quotes. I know there are many who advertise online but always value other peoples experience with tradespeople good and bad. Any help offered is greatly appreciated.

Hi Zuco, thanks for the reply, just had a look at second hand Mallorca, Im not really wanting to buy anything Im after trades people to renovate my chalet, Ive been looking on mil anuncios and found it quite helpful. I was hoping to get Uk trades people because of the language barrier, but none have replied, although theres still time as we dont fly out until August.

You will need to ensure that you get the required permissions for everything you want to do, and make sure that all the tradies are properly licensed in Spain, especially the electricians and plumbers. Many of the Brit tradies do not have the required licenses, and, while their work might be good, then further on down the road if there are any problems you might be opening a whole can of worms.
