Hi everyone can anyone tell me if there is a register of british people living in spain - i am looking for an old british friend who is living in almeria. He is not on social media so looking for postal address. Thanks jess

Why not try a newspaper ad in the English free papers?The British Consulate do not have a list of British Nationals as they stopped recording us(as I think also in France) many years ago.The townhall will not divulge info.as to you friend being on the Padron as it comes under Data Protection.

It is quite likely that their name has popped up somewhere on line. It is quite hard to remain totally under the radar these days, even with the restrictions of the data protection act. Unless his name is John Smith his name is likely to be quite rare in Spain, which should make the task easier too.

If you know the town where he lived, including that in online searches may pay dividends.
