Default Looking to buy in costa blanca

Hi

I'm Adam I'm new to the site , I'm from sheffield and was hoping for a little advice please.

I'm looking to invest around £75k in a property in costa blanca north I have a small young family and would like to be close the beach restaurants bars shops also have a communal pool .

I was hoping some body could suggest where to look and where I could pick up a decent bargain ??

Would you recommend estate agents or private sales what sites are available to look at ?

Hope some one could point me in the right direction.

Many thanks

Adam

You could start here to get some ideas and filter to suit your needs.

As Concierge for the Spanish section of BE I would like to say hello and welcome.

BE is a very large expat website, so if you have problems finding your way around we have concierges who will try to direct you. The moderators for the Spanish forums are Mitzyboy and Fred James, moderators are there to ensure that the site runs smoothly within the rules of BE. Problems and complaints should always be addressed to a moderador who will look into the matter and deal with it efficiently and fairly. Our members who post in the Spain Forums are friendly and helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the issues of living in Spain. At the top of the page you will find a quirkily named thread called Free Beer which is full of important and useful information. Hope you enjoy your time participating in the forums.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

I have friends who moved to Denia- where I've visited many times.

An amazing place with a harbour, lots of local delicates, fantastic local fish (and the best beach bars). I couldn't recommend highly enough!

She has a 2-bed apartment with a communal pool- where all the neighbours are so friendly.

Hi Adam, you will be hard pushed to find anything in that price bracket in Denia that's close to the beach with a communal pool, as I would assume you will need at least a 2 bed property. You might pick up a studio or 1 bed for that, try www.idealista.com used by both private sellers and agents. I always find it good.
My advice to you (living in the CBN for 9 years) is to RENT 1ST! take a bit of that chunk you have, find a nice place and rent for 3-6months and have a look around. You don't want to make such a huge move then realise you're stuck. And trust me, once you decide where you want to be you will easily make that money back having met the right people to deal with and have the peace of mind knowing you are definite in your decision.
Also, work - Can you speak Spanish, do you need to work, what will you do here?
