Would you buy at any price? Beach looks ok. Anyone know the place?

Problem is that even if you get one free with a packet of cornflakes, you'll still have to pay purchase taxes set at some arbitrary value by the council, and you'll have running costs and maybe imputed taxes on top of those.

Saw this place on Spanish tv last week, they said it was the worst in Spain for debt and apartments being taken back by the bank, run a mile or should that be a kilometre

The photos and story are a little deceptive. We were there for an afternoon in summer 2012. We were staying in nearby Oropesa del Mar and drove over for a peek. There were plenty of people around and lots of activity. Although there were a few empty and under-construction buildings.
If the photos were taken recently, then that was during the off-season. So it makes sense that it was fairly deserted. I think the place was mostly a summer resort.
