Hi Moses2013, thanks for the link. These are, unfortunately, mainly flats and apartments. Many of the few houses advertised seem very expensive but we will keep looking. Perhaps this area is not for us.

It's probably not the cheapest area and depends what you see as expensive?
This one is not bad for €700 but I doubt you'll get much cheaper close to the coast Detached house for rent in otur no number, Luarca - Valdés
I always say Spain is not as cheap as people think and even a smaller crappy apartment like this will cost €400 in Benidorm
