Long term car hire/lease Marbella area
Hello all,
I've just come out to see some family and the family member who has put us up is currently renting a car. He lives here and is staying almost definitely at least 2 years. Working, not retired.
The car he currently has is almost a death trap, how it passed Spain's version of the MOT is the biggest mystery ever. The speedometer doesn't even work and the engine randomly cuts out for a start! However he pays around €300 per month for the privilege. (Was about €200 for something reasonable in the winter/autumn but as soon as summer comes it's been a different story)
Having thought why the heck doesn't he just lease, I've had a quick look myself and they're not the cheapest of things to lease compared to the UK. Strangely, buying cars second hand out here seems quite expensive compared to The UK also! Plus, to say the family member knows nothing about cars is an understatement so leasing/renting would be more beneficial.
Can anyone recommend any decent places to look for leasing/renting deals? There must be some decent 2-3 year leases out there
