lonely in majorca
hi everyone
my daughter and her partner av recently moved to felanixt in majorca and are finding life a little lonely they have looked for ex pats groups and such but cannot find anything suitable near to where they live anyone any ideas please |

Sounds like you are a little worried about your family. If can be hard to socialise in rural area or if you can't speak the lingo too well.
A lot of us take the easy option and move to urbanisations or where there is already a lot of expatriates about. Maybe best to go to the nearest expat community once in a while. Often there are 'group' activities or hobby clubs that may be of interest, often advertised or reported in the 'freebie' expat papers/magazines. We just really cheeky and started asking any Brit we spotted in our area (Hondón Valley, Costa Blanca) about where, what, how things are done - now the better weather is coming you'll spot the Brits on the sunny side of the street - dining al fresco ! Maybe their council offices or local supermarket have a notice board ? Good Luck |
