Can’t see thread in this and I’m a newbie. What are the beaches like in Portugal and Isla Canela. I was there last year and wondering if there is a lot of seaweed. Also one of the beaches on Portugal was covered in jelly fish. How are thing now please anyone.

Re: Local beaches

I went to Cabeco in Portugal a week ago with the family for a few hours, and the water was clear as far as I could see, no seaweed and no jellyfish. But I do think both are a feature of the area and will appear at various times through the year, but we didnt see any. Cabeco is a lovely beach, east of, and just next to Praia Verde, flat with no hills to climb and ample sunshades and sunbeds on the beach, bars and restaurants right on the edge of the beach, I do recommend it.

Thankyou for that. Very helpful and I’ll certainly try it.
