living flame fires
 
Hi, can anyone tell me if there are any shops Alicante/Elche area that sell living flame fires (gas or electric) Thanks in advance for any replies

I dont know if you have DIY stores like leyroy merlin in your area (a bit like B&Q) they usualy have them in now that the summer is over.

Thanks Betris, just the info I needed. Not too sure on the shops over there yet, have seen nice ones here in the DIY shops, back over next month so will pop in and have a look

Not seen any and remember they will have to be LPG/butano and as they are very inefficiant will cost a fortune to run off bottles:thumbdown:
Its also essential you get them fitted by a qualified fitter , one who understands flue systems as well as gas fitting.

sorry I should have said I saw electric ones,he asked about gas or elecric.

Electric is fine betris. It is more for decor than anything else!! Just wanted the "living flame" look thanks again linda

Thanks Rotor. Think electric will be better for my needs. Have heard someone has a gas one with bottle outside, but if electric is available this will do fine

its not the bottles its the fumes you cant see or smell until its too late.The fires that we saw were so realistic it was untrue.flames or glowing.Made you feel hot just looking at them.

No we in getting a few bits and they stood out so we just had a look at the different models,as you do.

If you go to Leroymerlin.es and click on the picture of the catalogue you can go through the catalogue there are a few different electric ones on there

Linda here is a piccy of the Leroy Amish Merlin Flame effect fire dept. These are fitted with two yes two 20 watt red bulbs to give you that ohhhhhhhh cosy by the fire feel...............Enjoy :p
