Have they cleaned up the beach. It has been in the news many times this winter and they say it was destroyed and full of plastic?

Yes I was shocked the first time I ventured that way at the shear amount of poly tunnels across the landscape, for me the sight of all that plastic put me completely off the area!

Agree, and whilst it might be be nice to have a little area of Andalucia that isn't infested with Brits, they avoid it for good reason.

Is that La RĂ¡bita, the "toxic beach"?

re the alcohol thingy. Here in S.Italy it is quite normal even at 06:00 a.m. to have in winter time a "caffe' coretto" i.e. strong espresso coffee with a shot of brandy or aniseed in; at the local bar. Luverley. Not seen anyone drunk in our village yet, at least not in public.
Hasta Lluego,
