Default Liverpool/Seville service from Liverpool cancelled for 5 months from late October

Just a word of warning to anyone hoping to fly with Ryanair on the Liverpool to Granada/Seville routes from late October.

This is what they told one customer who'd booked and paid for a November flight to Granada:

Ryanair regrets that following an operational review your flight/s detailed below will cease operation from the 25/10/09 - 27/03/10.

Please advise any other passengers who may be travelling in your party of the cancellation of this booking.

Any flights booked departing between the 25/10/09 - 27/03/10 have been cancelled and a refund will be automatically processed back to the original form of payment used to pay for the original booking.

I have tried both Granada and Seville booking site and whereas a couple of weeks ago they were giving flight times and prices, they have now been removed.

There has been nothing mentioned in the press or on Ryanair news website, wonder how long they were going to keep this quiet!
Plenty news about opening new routes though.

They did exactly the same thing last year. A simple case of economics versus demand.
The planes will most likely be shifted to serve the ski resorts during the winter months

They were still flying the Granada route last year as we flew in November and February. The flights were always full.

They were probably full due to them stopping the East-mids to Granada route over last winter.

Liverpool - Faro is operating again this winter (3 times a week). Ryanair currently have lots of 10€ all-in flights available on this route (hand luggage only, Electron payment).

We live in Spain but Faro is actually closer to us than Seville, although Seville is easier to reach by public transport.
