Lights
It's said that the Andalucian campesinos are keen on noise and light to keep the darkness away. Never truer than our new neighbours (illegal house - family connections). They have dogs in a tiny perrera which bark all day and night, and they have lights. Man, do they have lights! The third outside floodlight is just being installed now, high on their wall. The first two are so bright that, across the road, we can read by them. Who needs a third? They've also got their cute little Christmas lights up, twinkle, twinkle. We call their house the Titanic.
It's the only lights in the entire valley. It can probably be seen from space. Should we prepare for the inevitable flying saucers?

Re: Lights
One of my neighbors had large industrial security lights, when they put them on they didn't only light their large garden they lit up the surrounding campo...no chance of star gazing.

You'd be well advised to not complain, but rather to keep well in with them.
Who knows they may even be able to light up your life up in other ways.
