My parents have recently moved to Spain and have asked if I can help them to locate an english version of Ley de propiedad horizontal. I have been searching websites for an English version but am having no luck. I would be very grateful if anyone can help me locate this.

David Searle's Book " You and the Law in Spain " has lots of info on that subject. ISBN 84-89954-32-1

Hi sminks,

There are several editions of David Searl's book the latest is the 16th edition and is a mine of useful information with about one quarter of the whole devoted to an explanation of the Law of Horizontal Property in English, it is mind boggling but if you read it twice and set it against the Spanish Urbanisation concept it makes perfect sense.

This edition has the ISBN 84-89954-41-0 and was published in March this year.

Dont take any books as gospel cos laws change in Spain as often as bar owners, use only as a rough guide. :)

I agree with this correspondant, this is an excellent site, membership costs €80 for the first year then €50 for subsequent years, money well spent. The organisation is sponsored by the Vanecian government.
